The TransparentSea Reporting Solution simplifies the creation
and exchange of a wide range of vessel inspection reports, e.g.:
- Flag State Administrations: Statutory surveys, flag transfers
- Port State Authorities: Port state control inspections
- Classification Societies: Class surveys, class transfers
- Financial Institutions: Condition surveys, asset protection
- Insurers: P&I surveys, P&I transfers
- Dry Docks: Repair planning, monitoring and documentation
Improved accuracy of reporting and simplified exchange of reports
benefit each link in the maritime responsibility chain:
- Ship owners, operators and managers have improved evidence
of the structural condition and ongoing maintenance of their
ships, and are able to store 'as-built construction drawings'
securely on board in conformity with IMO regulations. Repair
specifications can be precisely indicated and passed on
to e.g. dry docks.
- Flag States have better information about the structural
integrity of the vessels flying its flag, and are aided in conforming
to IMO Guidelines on the exchange of documents in connection
with flag transfers.
- Port States benefit from more transparent inspection
reports supported by tamper-proof digital evidence that can
be easily exchanged with other port states and reported to e.g.
Equasis
- Classification societies benefit from a harmonised
survey reporting format based on vessels' actual drawings on
an ongoing basis and in connection with class transfers.
- Financial institutions are aided in their adherence
to Basel II requirements by having access to improved data on
the structural condition of vessels financed, improving asset
protection and risk management activities.
- Insurers are also aided in their adherence to
Basel II requirements, similar to financial institutions, and
P&I transfers are expedited through the exchange of more
accurate vessel condition data, as recommended by OECD.
